Terms and Conditions

To enter the Good Things campaign upload a short video (between 10 and 60 seconds in length) directly to us via a specific link at https://lloydsbank.ht.gd/ (all of these activities are called ‘Submissions’ in these Terms and Conditions) 
 
The timeframe to participate is from 11th July to 00:00 UK time on 29th August 2024.
 
Participation in the campaign is free of charge and no purchase is necessary.

By sharing a Submission, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
 
 
1. GENERAL RULES
 
If you provide a Submission to our site, you will be prompted to tick a box to confirm you agree to these terms. 
 
Note that any Submission that contains criminal or anti-social behaviour, hate, sexually suggestive, discriminatory, unlawful, infringing, violent, nudity, foul language or any other content which Lloyds Bank deems unacceptable shall not be considered in the campaign.
 
 
2. ELIGIBILITY
 
The campaign is open to individuals aged 18 and over excluding employees of Lloyds Bank. Proof of age and residence may be required. Lloyds Bank reserves the right to exclude any participant if he/she does not comply with any of these terms and conditions. 

You warrant that the submission was created by you the participant, does not violate, misappropriate or infringe on the rights of any third party, including, without limitation, privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark and/or other intellectual property rights and that you have the legal right and capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions in your jurisdiction. 
 
 
3. PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES:
 
The campaign is open only to individuals with permanent residence in the United Kingdom.


4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CAMPAIGN
 
To enter into the campaign the entrant must submit to us via a specific link, a Submission that meets the campaign requirements set out in these terms and conditions between the start and finish dates specified at the beginning of these terms and conditions.
 
 
5. LIABILITY
 
Lloyds Bank, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate those selected or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of their selection except where it is caused by the negligence of Lloyds Bank, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
 

6. LICENCE CONDITIONS
 
By agreeing to these terms and conditions you agree that your Submission, username, name and likeness may be published, for example on:
- The Lloyds Bank website
- Lloyds Bank social media channels
- Print advertisements for Lloyds Bank and their products and services
- Online display advertisements for Lloyds Bank and their products and services
- Online search advertisements for Lloyds Bank and their products and services
- Offline (e.g. print and television) advertisements for Lloyds Bank and their products and services
- Outdoor advertisements for Lloyds Bank and their products and services
 
Your data may be used and published within the scope of the campaign; see Section "Publicity and Data Protection" 
below. If provided, Lloyds Bank may also contact you via email but your email address will not be made public.

By agreeing to commercial use of the Submission you agree and confirm to Lloyds Bank that:

-	Any text, images video or audio-visual content in the Submission are your own original works, are not defamatory and do not infringe third-party rights.

-	 There are no conflicting agreements in place that restrict usage of the Submissions.

-	You have consent to use any third-party image in the entry and rights have been waived for that use. If a third party image is of a person under 18, parental or guardian consent must be provided.

-	You will produce evidence of any required consents at Lloyds Bank’s request.
 
 
7. COPYRIGHT AND MORAL RIGHTS
 
USAGE RIGHTS IN SUBMISSIONS. By making a Submission and confirming that via the consent checkbox, you acknowledge and agree that you will retain ownership of any original content you submit, subject to the following licence: Lloyds Bank shall have the unrestricted and non-exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, display, edit, adapt, publish, perform, broadcast, modify, and otherwise use each Submission (or any part of it) in any and all media, whether now known or later discovered, in perpetuity, without compensation to you or any other party. 
 
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY INFRINGEMENT NOTICE: we may respond to Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) take-down notices and remove any Submissions if that Submission is suspected of copyright infringement or any other intellectual property right infringement. To challenge a submission or issue a take-down request please write to BCB Marketing Communications, Lloyds Banking Group, Harbourside, 10 Canons Way, Bristol, BS1 5LF. DMCA is a copyright law criminalizing production and dissemination of technology, devices, or services intended to circumvent measures that control access to copyrighted works. 
 
 
8. PUBLICITY AND DATA PROTECTION 
 
If you are selected to feature in the campaign, you agree that Lloyds Bank may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by Lloyds Bank.

By participating in the campaign, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry (including your social network username) may be held and used only by Lloyds Bank or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition. You further agree to Lloyds Bank retaining your personal and contact information for use after the campaign end date and consent for Lloyds Bank to contact you in the future for any future campaigns.

9. NETWORK AND COMMUNICATION
 
If for any reason the campaign does not run for its duration due to a computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of Lloyds Bank that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the campaign, Lloyds Bank reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, or suspend the campaign and disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry and/or voting process. Lloyds Bank is not responsible for any: (a) malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any network or line, computer system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or website; (b) failure of any email or entry to be received by Lloyds Bank; nor (c) any injury or damage to participants or any other person related to or resulting from participation in the campaign or downloading any materials in a campaign. Promoter suggests you maintain you own back up of your submission. Lloyds Bank cannot be responsible for loss of Submissions.
 
 
10. TERMINATION
 
Lloyds Bank reserves the right within its discretion to terminate your participation, hide your Submission and or any other user generated content, and restrict your use and access to any Lloyds Bank campaign. A request for termination of this agreement can be made in writing to BCB Marketing Communications, Lloyds Banking Group, Harbourside,10 Canons Way, Bristol, BS1 5LF.

Lloyds Bank reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the campaign where it becomes necessary to do so.
 
 
11. DISPUTES
 
Lloyds Bank reserves the right, and disclaims any perceived, implied or actual duty, to monitor or manage disputes between participants. You agree to hold Lloyds Bank and their suppliers or agents harmless in connection with any dispute or claim you make against any other participant.
 
 
12. DECISIONS
 
Lloyds Bank’s decision will be final and no correspondence regarding the campaign and decisions will be entered in to.
 

13. DISCLAIMER
 
The information you provide will only be used for the campaign. 
 
 
14. JURISDICTION
 
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any dispute arising from them or Good Things shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
